Babysitting PolicyAt Wild Monkeys Childcare Ltd, we understand that some parents/carers may want evening childcare (hereafter referred to as ‘babysitting’) for their child or children. As parents know our staff, we recognise that they may wish to ask our staff to babysit for them.
We do not restrict what our staff choose to do outside of working hours. However, we also do not take responsibility for our staff’s actions outside of working hours. If an incident were to occur whilst a staff member was caring for a child outside of working hours, Wild Monkeys Childcare Ltd cannot be held responsible or liable. This includes evening babysitting, pre- and post-nursery childcare, and any other childcare outside of working hours which has not been arranged with the manager. We request that parents do not discuss babysitting and babysitting arrangements whilst staff are at work. Staff are not permitted to discuss babysitting or babysitting arrangements during their working hours, and it is their and the parents’ responsibility to organise any such arrangements. Wild Monkeys Childcare Ltd does not take any responsibility for organising contact or babysitting. We do not give out staff contact details. Staff are contractually prohibited from babysitting during the nursery’s operating hours. These are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, except Bank Holidays and the week of Christmas. Staff are not permitted to babysit if doing so would impact upon their work, e.g. causing lateness/absence or other issues.
