Working In Partnership With Parents Policy

At Wild Monkeys Childcare, we understand that working with parents and families is key to supporting children’s learning and development. Parents are always welcome to speak to staff at the door for brief questions or concerns, or to contact the manager about any questions, concerns, or information they may want to share.

To help your child settle, before looking after your child we will:
●      We will agree on Tapestry the contract between the setting and the parents/carers.
  • Ask you to share any information about your child’s medical, dietary, or educational needs; their likes and dislikes; their home language and religion; and any other information which you would like us to know. This should be recorded on the child registration form.
  • Ask you to complete our photo permissions form on Tapestry, so that we know whether we can take photos of your child, and what we can use them for.
  • Direct you to the policies and procedures available on our website.

Whilst looking after your child, we ask that you:
●      Provide appropriate clothing for the weather and suncream as appropriate, in accordance with our Outdoor Play policy.
  • Keep us up to date on any changes to your child’s medical, dietary, or educational needs, and any changes in their home life, positive or negative.
  • Talk to us about any questions or concerns you might have.

We will:
  • Share information about what your child has been doing via Tapestry.
  • Let you know when your child is going to be a focus child via Tapestry.
  • Discuss with you any ‘Wow!’ moments or behavioural concerns.
  • Talk to you about what your child is learning, and how we can work together to encourage their learning to continue at home.
  • Let you know about any accidents or incidents which might have happened at nursery.
