Nursery Practitioner Term Time Only 16+ hours
Nursery Practitioner needed to work at our busy nurseries in Peacehaven/ Telscombe Cliffs. Shifts are 8:00-16:00
Candidate Specification (Essential):
- is 17yrs + - is reliable, patient and has a positive attitude, - loves working with children, - has verifiable references, - flexible availability - either has or is willing to complete a 12 hr paediatric first aid course
Candidate Specification (Desirable)
- Level 2 or higher qualification in childcare - Experience working with children - Excellent knowledge of the EYFS - Knowledge/experience of Makaton - Knowledge/experience of Forest School - Passion for sustainability and the environment is great, as we strive to be an eco-friendly setting - Willingness to consider sustainable ways to travel to work, e.g. walking/cycling/public transport

This position is initially for a 6 month period, with the potential for a permanent position at the end of the contract.
Job Description:
Your day to day tasks could include … 1- do the school runs, 2- change nappies, 3- feed the children, 4- carry out planned activities i.e. groups, arts and crafts, 5- help tidy toys/ equipment, 6- light cleaning i.e. sweeping up from lunch time or activities. 7- to make observations when asked of the children. 8- to complete tasks and courses that the owner/manager see fit 10- to take reasonable care to ensure safety and health in the workplace 11- to complete all essential courses at the cost of the employer but understand that if you leave Wild Monkeys within a year of completing the course you may be asked to pay pro rota towards it 12- go on outings with the children and other staff members 13- supervise groups of children indoors and outdoors as required If you enjoy working in a relaxed and fun environment with children and meet the above requirements, please fill in the application at the top of this page.
