Where did Wicket come from?

 Many years ago when I was still childminding I was looking after some school children. I had been trying to think of a business name with little success so I thought I'd ask the kids. The oldest girl just came out with Wild Monkeys which uses my surname and the fact children are little monkeys! It has stuck ever since. Over the years it has been tweaked to suit the growing business, going from Wild Monkeys Childminding to Wild Monkeys Childcare once we became a nursery. 

We recently had Wicket the Wild Monkey join us. As you can see in this picture he is a happy little chap that likes going on outings as well as reading stories to the children. His tummy smells sweet and he makes monkey sounds too. He is also used to model kind behaviour like sitting at the table for lunch or maybe even to use a potty! He now even has his own uniform.

Once he came along we decided that he should be on our logo. The deputy manager Donna's brother is a budding artist so I commissioned him to design one for us. I am so pleased with how it has come out that I wanted to share with you the wonderful work he does. He paints personalised artwork which would be perfect for gifts for anyone.
